SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, which is set in Mumbai, tells the story of Jamal, a boy from the slums, who is only one question away from winning 20 million rupees at the show, "Who wants to be a Millionaire".
The night before the final question the police arrest him, because they think, he is cheating. They don´t believe that a Slumdog is able to know all the answers. As an explanation Jamal tells them the story of his hard childhood, his brother Salim, and his big love, Latika. He has only attended the show, because he hopes Latika would watch it.
For every question of the show, Jamal has his own story, why he knew the answer and after his explanation the police allow Jamal go back to the show and answer the final question.
I liked the film pretty well, because I love movies like these. The exciting story of Jamal and Latika, then the story, how to survive in the slums of Mumbai and the fate about Salim, Jamal´s elder brother, is very dramatic and exciting. All in all Slumdog Millionaire is a well produced and wonderful movie and I will recommend it to all my friends and family.
I really understand the film won 8 Oscars!
